I just wanted to take a picture of tools I used to make Shaker End Table and was surprised to see how many tools I actually ended up use. And not all tools I used fit into one picture.
I have acquired these tools over time. Some of them I bought new, others – used. Both have pros and cons. It is always nice to buy a new tool and be the first one to use, however this pleasure comes with a higher cost. Now buying a used tool is always nice because typically you get them for a fraction of the price a new one would cost. However with that comes a drawback – tool can be old, near end of life or stop working altogether. Buying second handed hand tools will most likely require some TLC before you can use it to its full potential.
And so here is a list of tools I used for building Shaker End Table:
- SawStop Contractor Saw
- Freud Brass Back Dovetail Saw
- Stanley 16-782 Sweetheart 1/4″ Chisel
- Stanley 16-150 150 Series Short Blade 3-Piece Wood Chisel Set
- Bosch Random Orbit Sander with Carrying Bag, 5-Inch
- Bosch 18V Drill/Driver Kit SlimPack Batteries
- 3M PELTOR X5A Over-the-Head Ear Protection
- 3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6502QL Mask
- Square for Woodworking
- Sanding paper
- Various Clamps, e.g. Bessey 2.5-Inch x 24-Inch Clutch Style Bar Clamp
- Elvex RX-500C Full Lens Magnifier safety glasses
- Stanley 16′ PowerLock Tape Rule
- Neiko Electronic Digital Caliper Stainless Steel Body with Large LCD Screen
